Hi my pc whould run bf2 on all full settings untill v1.2 patch came out, ive waited on and tryed the latest patches hoping they whould work but it still wont work, i tryed reinstalling windows, fitted new sound blaster audigy ,reinstalled bf2 and it STILL won't bloody work!! JEEZ!!! , when i load bf2 it will show the splash screen then returns to desktop, any help whould be great thanks

Hi, friend posted for me i've now registered, system spec as follows
asus k7t4a pro m/board
clean install xp home
1024meg ddr400 memory
originally ati 9700 pro now 6600 gt (nvidia agp version) 256meg
80 gig sata hard-drive
as described ran fine on high settings before 1.2 patch then only shows splash screen and crashes back to desktop , re-installed bf2 and patches numerous times and in desperation have just re-installed xp on formatted hard-drive. all drivers and direct x updated to latest versions. colin

Happened to me ones too... but it was only 'cos bad patch file and i got it working after installing the latest full patch
