If i get the helo specialist ribbon in SF then will iget the helicopter ribbon in bf2?

In general, any vanilla bf2 badge/ribbon/medal you meet the requirements for will be awarded in special forces, but not the other way around.
i.e. I can get the veteran sniper combat, and the veteran sniper specialist badge in the same round on a SF server, but would only be eligble for the regular badge if i was playing vanilla bf2.
Did that make any sense?

SF awards can only be obtained while playing SF. Regular BF2 awards can be obtained by playing either BF2 or SF as the guy above has stated.
if I'm in a tank and use artillary as commander do I get those kills for the TANK? I need 22 kills in 20 minutes for that ribbon... its been sitting there and I realized I might as well get it. Should I be commander/wonder around or should I go out and probably be killed a few times?
You don't need 22 kills in 20 minutes.
You need to get 22 kills and be in the tank for a least 20 minutes

Arty works, but it's much more fun to get them the hard way in combat. I got my Armored Transport Specialist Ribbon, Basic Engineer Specialist Badge, and Veteran Engineer Specialist Badge on Warlord, and I entered the round late. I thought the Ribbon was 20 or 21 kills so I was surprised when I got the Vet Engineer Specialist at the same time as the Ribbon. It was definately satisfying though.

I already have vet engineer. I want to get my damn ribbons and be done with the ordeal. I don't like using tanks much anymore and I'm trying to move onto aircraft. The sooner this is done the better- I dont want to NOT get it in that 1 round or else it'll be more time wasted.

so I got it- I was commander in a tank and roamed around the center base on warlord picking off guys as they ran... and in my spare time sent in arty for those who got away. I also put up UAVs so my guys can fight in the palace.
