I was under the impression the stats were automatically updated, but the only way I seem
to be able to get my stats to update is to go on the forums and say something about mine
not updating

They do not automatically update here...
You get into the queue when you look at them. (and there that has to be 6 hours between two updates)

You're putting them in the queue. At the moment they are up to date. The next time you are able to place them in the queue is after 05:13:31

I use that page for my home page, but never new it was the queue

Mine had been updated to the 26th of March, but today it has backed up
to the 24th of March ... sheesh

I am not being sarcastic either ... I really appreciate all the work it takes
to make this page run

I had a similar question and now when I found this topic by search so..

I'd just like to ask why it takes so long to update the stats.
Someone talked about a new server that will be faster and I'd love that.
I just mean that this is by far the best site I view my stats on and I really like the progress bars that no other page/program has. I still have to wait like 3 and a half hour to get my stats updated but I'm quite eager to see how my 249 point round (OK i got doubled because I was commander AND the round was as long as 2 regular, but anyway) affected my score per minute and so on.

Actually that has not very much to do with my question, but hey I like talking to myself

well the new server is already at the right place but it needs to be configured and chuy is making a new and faster stats page.

When he got the server he said it will take like 2 weeks.. well we are now like 2 months already and im getting a bit ... ongeduldig*. But I think it will be worth it. (i hope)

*Robin, wat is ongeduldig in het engels, man? Ik kan het niet vinden met een vertaalwebsite.

This is just a guess but can ongeduldig mean like impatient (you feel you've waited enough)?
Otherwise it's nice to know you already have it. Hope the guy can configure it soon

I know a couple of dutch words, but they don't fit in here...

As far as the question is concerned, chuy has set up a minimum 6 hour waiting period between stats updates to reduce the load on the hardware. Moreover, the stats page was beginning to reach its limits as far as the code was concerned, which is why chuy decided to redo the code for the entire site a couple of weeks ago.

The new hardware is now in place, and I guess once the site has been recoded, the time between updates should be reduced significantly. As detailed in the News section, the new site will also feature new flashy things for stats display.
