Hey all....I'm not really complaining so much as observing...
I purchased SF about a month and a half ago and until tonight played about 10 minutes worth for no other reason than everyone I know was playing vanilla.  Tonight I logged about 3 or 4 hours worth of SF and what the f$%@ is with sniper whoring????  You can't spawn on a rooftop without 4 different snipers splattering you.
I had fun running around with my squad using the zip and hook to traverse the map without touching the ground, but it's still crazy how many snipers there are.
(I played mostly Warlord but did log a little Ghost Town..same thing as far as the legions of snipers...)

I found the same thing on those maps.. Warlord & Ghost town are a snipers' paridise.

Two suggestions.

1. Try Mass Destruction or Night Flight, they are both much harder for snipers to deal with, or
2. Snipe back.. Don't get mad, Get even!

Yea. SF has more snipers in it because the maps are better designed, imo, and have a lot more places to hide.  For the most part these places most people know about, so try to avoid them.  In Ghost Town, do not run into the open, just run behind building, because most of the Snipers are in the center of the map.  I have not ran into much of an issue with Snipers in Warlord, execpt once.  Someone was sniping from the unfinished building in the SAS base.  Took care of him a few times, and he stopped sniping.

Doesnt' all maps have snipers everywhere since the 1.21? Am I missing something? Derr! Why else would you be on the rooftop? Would you go up there with a knife and expect to kill someone 100yds away? Personally I think you all need to play it more, 4hrs no problem, snipers are just pests, be a medic and hide around a corner then walk away. Warlord has become my favorite map, the Jackhammer owns in the palace!! eff all those snipers, it's funny when they  lay clays and run away and I just wrench them up and gun them down with the Jack. Problem is too many turds running blindly while I'm wrenching and it gets us both.

I think after 1.2 many snipers dont snipe, they just spam claymores everywhere.

true, but many people forget to realize is that the engineer can swipe up those clays as fast as they lay them down, the problem is people don't want to be engineer because there is no 'benefit' and the other people around him are impatient.

I think it was EAs way of saying 'use all kits' .. and them making the clays a spamfest they thought more people would be engineer to wrench them up...nope..

Hmm, thanks for the hints and advice.  I didn't quit because of them, I kept playing.
I do like being an engineer simply for the fact that I can get rid of mines.  Last night was the first time I put any effort into Special ops (for the zipline) but I ended up having a lot of fun whoring the enemy assets....the commander sent 6 people after me at one point.

Snipers are EZ...point em out on the map and let your snipers take em out for you.

I snipe alot on Ghost Town.  Get lots of kills too.  Ghost Town is a sniper's dream but I can also kill in any map and still own you with a sniper rifle.

My gripe? Claymore spamming spawns... most people only play as a Sniper nowadays for the M18A2 Claymores, because DICE screwed up and decided that TK for them should be off. Claymores in real life do NOT have IFF!
