The 1.21 patched fixed SF for me, I have never really been able play SF due to severe lagging. Having seen the new patch I decided to install it...OMG... Why can't EA just fix the bugs, is there some unwritten rule with programmers that they have to leave bugs in software otherwise they are making themselves redundant???

OK, gotta step in for the programmers in the world here. NO programmer WANTS to release a program with a bug in it. The simple truth is, though, that EVERY program (unless it's ridiculously trivial) has bugs. They're made by humans, and they have bugs. In development, you find the bugs that are either causing the most problem or are the easiest to fix, and fix those first. Then repeat. And again. And again. And again.
This is a VERY complex program. It does large amounts of physics modeling, graphics displays, stat tracking, network communications, sound processing.... and that's just a tiny portion of what's involved. The fact that ANY of it works is amazing, and personally I think it's a dang fine program, and FAR less buggy (and less rife with cheaters) than any other online game out there.
I hate to use the "if you think you can do better" line, but it applies. If you think it's easy, give it a try. As for me, I'll only curse EA for creating this digital crack that is using up all my free time!!
