I have no idea, to be quite honest. But I use the only date format that makes real sense:

Code:

Year-Month-Day Hour:Minute:Seconds
Any other date format is just silly -- Largest unit first, smaller as you go right.

I guess we US people just view months to be more important in a calendar than days, and as most people know what year it is, that is placed towards the end (thus, we don't use Y/M/D).

Changing it would probably be like the NFL trying out the metric system again. What a disaster that was.

I like the D/M/Y format, but the US is just wierd.  We all grow up with M/D/Y, so that is what we use...because that's the way it's allways been.

So, how many people write 1.000.000 and how many write 1,000,000?

Metric OWNS, its soo much easier than imperial (mostly because i dont know much of it). but dividing and adding and multiplying all these weird numbers you'll need a calculator with you all the time. BUT with METRIC you can do it all in your head.

That reminds me of thumb wars (star wars comedy movie)

"I have a question, why do we all speak with british accents when were from outer space and there's no britan?"

To throw in something new: In Germany you say for 2126 "two thousand one hundred six and twenty". This is stupid too.
Most beautiful are our french friends: For 99 they say "four-twenty ten nine".

Yeah, first time i heared a not SI definition for pressure: One pound per square inch. Quite funny for me.

not to be pernickety or anything, but it is not 'your' in the context you were trying to use it. It is 'you're', which is a shortened version of 'you are'.

'you are the ones who drive on the left side'
'you're the ones who drive on the left side'

NOW GET IT RIGHT AMERICANS!!! WITH THE FUNNY ACCENTS!!

Every one knows that the New Zealand accent is the true 'neutral' accent. Why you guys got those funny accents?
(Except Aucklanders. They say "Aw yuh, hullo, moi naeme is Joaw." - Translation - "Oh yeah, hello, my name is Joe.")
(And Southlanders. They have scottish accents.)

Also, the imperial system sucks. The only way I can work it out is if I remember that a Subway sandwich is a foot long, and then work it out from there. That's no way to measure things!

Also, driving on the left side is the way to go when the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. Wherever you are, the driver goes closest to the middle of the road... unless you're driving a forgein car.

Anyway, Southern Hemisphere rules! We won't be fucked when the world breaks out into nuclear war because we don't have nuclear weapons - only nuclear fallout thanks to bomb testing in Australia and Tahiti. ("We could explode our bombs in the middle of the Shahara but that's not the FRENCH WAY, we'll go to fucken paradise and blow that up instead.")

Clearly the complexities of the month/day/year system are too much for your fragile little minds.
