Umm. No? It has more core frequency(a good thing), less pipelines (bad thing), renders much less, Less bandwidth capacity , only has shader model 2.0 were already using 3.0 and moving onto 4.0. x850XT is old technology face it.


Also, for the original question. The 780gtx is a good card. You really wont notice a difference at all with the 7800gt or the gtx. They are pretty even.

Errr, pretty big diffirence, e.g. in 3dmark you see that GTX gets way better framerates at higher resolutions.

People base everything on 3dmark quite stupid. Go play a game with a 7800gtx and a gt and tell me the difference. Never mind 3dmark numbers. People go out and spend all kinds of money just so they can increase their 3dmark score. Then finally understand that its useless.
