Talking on mic while Commander not working -

When i am squaq leader the key i bound to my mic works and i see the green speaker icon light up under the minimap fine while i talk and hold the key but while i am Commander it doesn't work.  Is there another key bind i need to use to speak to all teamates on the mic to be able to give audio orders?

What gives ? Thanks!

When im commander i press V and the speaker icon comes up, so i guess im talking to everyone.

your talking to the squadleaders. not everyone on your team.

Actually the whole squad, just not the people that arn't in squads

V is comm line by default, b is squad talk by default.  Squad talk is disabled while your the commander.

There are two different comm links.  One allows squad members to communicate with each other, the other allows the commander to communicate with squad leaders.  When you are commander, you can only talk to the Squad Leader.  The other members of the squad do not hear what you and the SL say to each other.  Also, as far as I know, the other squad leaders do not hear what a SL says to you, and you can specify through the COmmander screen which SLs hear what you say.

Also, remember that as squad leader you have both commander voip and squad voip available to you.  The green speaker means you are currently using the squad voip, and a yellow speaker with a star next to it means you are talking on commander voip.
