Well my significant other will be going to Portugal in a couple weeks and asked if she could take my laptop with her.

What a loaded question, huh?

Well after some thinking I went out and picked up a brand new one, and let her have my other one.

It is a Compaq nx9600
P4 3.6Ghz
1Gig of Ram
17" WS BrightView
x600 Radeon

I hate to say it, but $1500 is a bit much for a laptop like that...unless you got some sort of a fat discount.
