Binding sidescroll on a Logitech mouse?

I got a new G5 yesterday and can't seem to bind side scroll ingame. Using the Logitech software, I can bind it to anything want, for example "7". But when I hit it ingame, it doesn't pull my mask out nor can I bind it on the BF2 options page.

Running the latest firmware and software.

Any ideas? I gotta make up for only having one side button...

um i got g5 too, i had a prob once where i had been using the side scroll and then oneday it stopped working. i just re installed the setpoint software.

did you set the keystroke assignment in the logitech set point software?

Yes, and it works fine. For example, if I bind it to "7" and then click side scroll, it'll type "7" each time I click it. However, it does nothing ingame unless I'm missing somthing...

Hmm, global settings + keystroke + binding ingame seems to work, but I cannot get it to work just for BF2.exe...

Ticking "Keep other button assignments" seems to have fixed it!
