It isn't your soundcard or your OS. It's BF2! Ever since patch 1.12, the game is causing Windows to mute the mic everytime you enter a game or try to test your VOIP in the options set up. I have seen this happen on about a half dozen different rigs, all with different hardware. I have attempted to contact EA about this and I would have had more luck solving this problem by putting my finger in the electrical outlet. EA's tech support it a damn shame!Mr.CobraKai wrote:
Mine too. I'm going to try installing a soundcard and try it from that instead of the on-board sound on my motherboard. I run the audio setup thingy and it works fine.... I set the levels, yada-yada. But it won't work when I run the actual game. It is so frustrating. I have printed out dozens of "tips" from different people all over the forums and I'm going to try them all, one by one, tonight.LOSER|Tearsofromance wrote:
My voip gets disabled in game for some gay reason.
I tired everything to figure this problem out. I swapped soundcards, updated drivers, bought a new headset, uninstall, reinstall... After several attempts to try and determine the problem, I figured out that after reinstalling the game and testing through each patch that after 1.12 is where the problem originates.
Has anyone else found the same results?
