My voip gets disabled in game for some gay reason.
Mine too.  I'm going to try installing a soundcard and try it from that instead of the on-board sound on my motherboard.  I run the audio setup thingy and it works fine.... I set the levels, yada-yada.  But it won't work when I run the actual game.  It is so frustrating.  I have printed out dozens of "tips" from different people all over the forums and I'm going to try them all, one by one, tonight.
It isn't your soundcard or your OS.  It's BF2!  Ever since patch 1.12, the game is causing Windows to mute the mic everytime you enter a game or try to test your VOIP in the options set up.  I have seen this happen on about a half dozen different rigs, all with different hardware.  I have attempted to contact EA about this and I would have had more luck solving this problem by putting my finger in the electrical outlet.  EA's tech support it a damn shame!

I tired everything to figure this problem out.  I swapped soundcards, updated drivers, bought a new headset, uninstall, reinstall...  After several attempts to try and determine the problem, I figured out that after reinstalling the game and testing through each patch that after 1.12 is where the problem originates.

Has anyone else found the same results?
