From what I read on this site I only need 500 global points to get that rank. I have 558 or so in the BFHQ stats... is there something else I need to do? Also... everytime I load up BF2 it says message from EA d/l 1.21 patch... I did that with the 367.5mb d/l... is there something I am missing there as well? Thanks for any help.
for the rank, join again a server kill 1 person or get 1 point and you'll be promoted. for the message, thats just a random message from EA. not just for you to download the patch. if you have the patch then its ok.

Well... I ran the patch... but the game still seems to say v1.1.2716-548.0.... I'm gonna d/l the 1.12 - 1.2patch... then do the 1.2 - 1.21... see if that takes... if not Ill try the huge 367.5mb d/l again 8-\
P.S. Thanks I got my ranking... I also got the m95 for sniping. What would be your next choice??? I think I'm gonna go sniper/spec ops.

im patched to the newst patch (1.21) and when i load BF2 on the bottom right corner its still saying...v1.1.2716-548.0
i guess its another of these many bugs of this wonderfull game. lol
