ive started an IT course and i have two 3000 word assisgnments to do...one on computer platforms and the other on databases...can any of you tech guys out there help me?

Computer platforms would be windows/mac/linux/unix...
Databases would be sql, ms access

database sux... say sumthing about whats better for what kind of jobs between windows/mac/linux/unix, like mac is best for creating movies and music while windows is best for gaming, surfing the web etc etc
