I hear great things about the Medusa 5.1 Pro-Gamer set. Their advertising says they were banned from CPL because they were that damn good. I wanna get a pair of those and a SB X-Fi Fatal1ty
Yeah, also curious what headset would go best with the X-Fi. I hear the X-Fi makes any headset a 7.1. And so, would the Medusa 5.1 be a downgrade?
No go on the USB headsets, as they bypass the X-Fi.

That's all you need
Ilocano: HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA. You can't make something 7.1 by just plugging it into a sound card.
Medusas will still be fine.
Yeah, sounded noob, but according to this review: http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/ces/ears-on- … 147092.phpDefiance wrote:

"X-Fi creates 7.1 channel surround sound inside any pair of headphones."
Virtual 7.1 at least...
BTW, do you know anyone stateside that sells the Medusa? Better to get via Amazon.UK or have my brother-in-law in the UK order and ship to me?
I only have the cheapo Plantronics Audio 90 right now.
