Was getting tired of people spelling it Karkland. Its wrong in almost every second post.

I think the majority spell Karkand wrong just to F*** with people. Its like when you go into a library and purposely pronounce it Li-Berry just to piss them off.
Doesn't really bother me, it seems like more of a nickname than a misspelling.
Since we are on the subject, you misspelled the word "proper" in the title, and that bothers me.

Well, I've seen "Karkland", "Kirkand", and must humorously "Strike At Kirkland", which prompted the comment: "NOOOO! There can't be a strike at Kirkland, I need my 24-pack of bottled water for $5.99!"
I've also seen "Sharqui" Peninsula (though "Sharky Pennsylvania" is fucking hilarious), "Mastuur" (or "Mashtur") City and "Gulf of Omen". "Mastuur City" sounds like a place that would have very sticky streets

Any time I hear it called, "Kirkland," I expect to see Kirk Cameron somewhere on the map. I've lost count of the number of variations I've seen but one of my favourite alternatives was "C4rkand" (before 1.2) and my sister refers to it as, "Karkypoo."
