I think they should distribute big stuff like that on CDs.
Some of my friends have download limits on their internet
connections and will be able to download it just next month.
And what about the people with 56k connections?

The Euro Forces file EA distributes on their downloader
( the file is called eagamesbf2-2006online_map_contentbf2euro )
is almost 400 MB!

Yeah, but if he has a 2-4 gb cap on monthly downloads (I think that's what the OP is saying) it is a big chunk.

Well no verizon in my country. And even adsl has a cap of 1 GB.

If you are playing this game on 56k ... it's not recommended.You must lag like crazy and that's a bummer for you and everyone else unfortunate enough to be in the same server.But hey more power to you.

If you read on the back of your BF2 box... you see that it says under requirements "Internet: 128kbps or faster".
At that speed it would take appox. 6 hours to get the boosterpack, which is definatly doable.

The game itself does not support 56k so I don't see the problem here...

Having a download limit would be annoying, regardless of what you need to download. Though, if you can't get 350mb fit into your limit over a period of one month... you seriously should consider changing ISPs.

FIOS goes up to a 40mb/s speed... i use to work on the verizon dsl branch and we got told about it.. only available in certain parts of the west (US).
