Don't forget about cooling, if you don't want to spend money or time on water i recommend a good heatsink like the coolermaster hyper 6+ it fits with every socket type and is one of the best on the market
I have a thermaltake Big Typhoon. the damn thing is huge, but my cpu is 28C at idle, and 34 under load. Havnet bother overclocking yet.
Hey can i have some tips...ive a amd 3500+ winchester core and an8 sli deluxe mobo...how far can i clock it?
Is that with standard heat sink?
yeah thats w/ stock, but if u wanna play real safe, go w/ 2.4-2.5 ghz, get a program called sp2004 which maxes out memory and cpu power, run the test over night (12 hours at least) if theres no errors, ur oc is safe. but if u wanna have ur pc cool and good oc stability, get a heatsink like mine http://www.frozencpu.com/cpu-tnq-01.html $50 for that big monster
