I don't think US lead winter OG, since they suck in Alpine and Nordic Skiing (Bode Miller, the best American skier failed).
Germany and Austria are really the best.
Sweden and Finland did really well this time. So did Russia.
Norway failed unfortunately, they're only 13th.
China is growing stronger and now can be a major threat (I think Pekin' 2008 will strengthen today's China supremacy in summer Olympics and American surely won't be the best that year).
Italia and France did well too. Canada and Switzerland are as good as usual.
I think these OG are the best we had since Nagano's (Salt Lake's were a bit boring).

you kidding? this year it was cindy klassen territory she won 5 medels just by herself
i didnt say they owned the speedskating, just said its dutch territory not that much with the women but with the men, before it was always 1st 2nd 3th 4th The Netherlands

US also did very well in speed skating.
Canada got gold in speed skating and sum others. but our mens hockey team did horrible compared to our womens hockey team.
Australia ranked 16th, pretty good for a country that's one fucking giant desert with little snow
