I need some help please. In the past week I have been trying to log in to my account and it freezes. I let it sit there for 20 minutes and still it showed a box that said connecting to accont server. I first changed my password through gamespy and then I tried to log in but did not work.  I deleted my account and then went back to get it, which I did get it back but only afyter 4 trys. Then I tried to login after retrieveing my account and it still frooze on me. So I made a new account to see if it was the ISP, that account works.  I tried disabling the net and reconnecting. I tried reinstalling the game with patch 1.21 only. And I even formatted my PC. And nothing works. My new account works but my old one doesnt. Help please.
By the way my old account is      Major_Jack_ONeill
My Computer has  Dual Intel Pentium 4  3.6 GHz processors, 1  256 MB ASUS Nvidia GeForce Extreme N600 GT video card, 2 GB RAM,  1   400 GB Western Digital SATA HD, Windows XP Pro only with SP1 and a motherboard tthat can handle 8 GB RAM

how long ago did u change ur pass with gamespy? did u log back on that first time with ur old pass or ur new one?
personally i would wait at least 24 hrs after changing a pass with gamespy cause they suck.
but u can try deleting the profile from your computer and go to manage accounts and re-add it, its possible theres something wrong with the config.

I changed my password with gamespy two days ago. I used both my new and old passwords, neither worked. As I said I already tried deleting my profile and retreieve it. I did retrieve it after about the 4 time trying. I did that 4 days ago and then yesterday also. I am again trying to reinstall the game and try it over again. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

i have just reinstalled the game and added patch 1.2 and I tried to retrieve m,y old account using my email that I used for it and my nickname with both the old and new passwords. I wont even work now. I cant even retrieve my account.  Oh ya by the way did I mention that I did get logged on to my old account 2 out of 4 trys yeterday when everyone was having problems with there stats. Otherwise I never have been able to log in for the past week, except for my new account that I just created.    Also I should add this is my 6th or 7th account now.  All but one I can not get into. If my new account goes down, I will quiet playing this fuckin' game. I am tired of starting over all the time.  In my opinion, this is the best online mililtary game ever made except for all the bugs and trying to log in. I just dont understand it. Maybe I should get a new computer becaus eI have had a lot of trouble with it since I got it. I burnted out 2 motherboards, a processor, a video card and about 10 power supplies.  I know have a 680 watt power supply so that should last me about 4 months, because thats how long the last one lasted. I am going to get the Dell XPS when Windows Vista comes out in December, possibly. Rigt now I have an Alienware Area 51 DEesktop PC.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!    Gamespy sucks!!!!     When trying to log into my old account tonight, I got a Game message.  It said:    GAMESPY: There was an error reading from the server.       This sucks shit. Gamespy better fix the problem.

when I first got into BF2 may account would freeze up when I logged in.  I downloaded BF2autoloader and it automatically logs you in. 

Whatever you do, DON'T USE GAMESPY to log into a server.  Use the in game browser or maybe even all seeing eye.

I downloaded BF2 downloader and typed in my EA BF2 Account name and it said that it does not exist. Otherwise very awsomne the BF2 downloader is.  Thanks nndoc!
