Use the 77 series drivers found in the CD. From what I have heard (and read), the latest drivers do wierd shit to BF2 in all sorts of ways.

Oh and for my next pc.....

Asus A8N-SLI MB SATA/PCI-E/Dual Chanel RAM/Raid/Gb LAN (939)
Corsair 1GB Twinx1024-3200C2 CAS 2 (2x 512MB) PC3200 Kit RAM
XFX GeForce 7800GT 256MB PCI-E Video Card w/ 2 DVI
Maxtor 300GB 16M SATA Hard disk drive
1.44MB Floppy disk drive - Black
Asus 16x DVD+/-R/RW Dual Layer burner 1608P (Black Retail)
Thermaltake Soprano case w/window (430W) (Black) (VB1400BWS)
Thermaltake Golden Orb II Ultra-Quite 17dBA CPU cooler.
Belkin Wireless keyboard and optical mouse pack (Black)
Wewa SP518A 5.1 piece speakers set (Black)
TOTAL PRICE $2200 from PC Shopper in Brisbane

Will try and see if I can replace that Dual Core processor to Single Core instead.

How do you get 1.8G of ram?

You might want to try deleting your cache folders temp files than doing a defrag of the harddrive. Followed by a couple hours of play so that you load every map.

Had the same startup lag problem when I went from medium to high settings... these lags are generally cause by disk access (cached files and a fragmented harddrive).

Well I have a 1Gig Stick, a 256MB stick and a 512MB stick so the machine interprates it as 1.8GB =\
I dunno if theres much point doing a defrag or deleting anything cause its a Freshly formatted computer

BUT i did fix it!
Went down to 77 Forceware Drivers,
Went into the Bios did some Ram tightening and some External clock changes and ran 3dmark06

now gettin 60 - 70 FPS with everything on medium high
