Drop that Spyware/Adware

i use norton, adaware (or adware, whatever), and spysweeper, i run a scan and update twice a day on each of those programs. i like to keep my computer spyware and virus free.

Ye ewido cleaned my computer!!, i had some ******* viruses and spammers. So i couldn't even launch msn!
i asked on a anti-adware forum and they helped me, now the computer is better than ever:)

Never had a virus or spyware before, been using computers 10 years.
I use Norton internet security and my browser is IE6.

I really don’t see what the deal is with viruses etc, I can only imagine you have to be stupid to get them.
The 3 golden rules are:

- Never open emails from people you don’t know.
- Always install the latest service packs and windows updates.
- Avoid warez and porn sites.

Norton is inadequate.

I use Firefox, Thunderbird, Avast AV, Zonealarm free version, Spybot, Ad-aware & CCleaner and never have a problem. Micro$oft sucks.

Ad-Aware + SpyBot S&D are a "very" potent combo as each has strengths at the others weakness. On top of that both are free and updated often.

EWIDO really does kick ass. I was so bogged down with crap that the internet just wouldn't work. Then I cam across Ewido, and when that little bastard went to work, it killed every single POS virus on my system, and I was back in business!

EWIDO is very very good...I recommend it to all as well.

Gotta be careful with some virus proggies tho...Kaspersky is good but it was giving me a serious SYSTEM error....that XP recovers from by the way... but still.

Anyone recommend a good OUTLOOK EXPRESS anti-spammer?

It seems that, the spyware is built into the SF instal... I haven't figured our what it is, but, I get rid of it, and still have no problems...

I built a seperate PC up just for office work and surfing the net, Built a 1ghz P3 system with 256mb RAM with parts from ebay for £47 (about $60), coupled with an old monitor and running Xubuntu linux (downloaded free).

It runs JUST as fast as my BF2 pc online, and I never have to worry about Spyware, Viruses or other Malware as Linux is teflon coated and that shit justs slides off...
