Here is a nice weapon that would be sweet for the SpecOps that I would like to see -

A Springfield Armory M-21...although they already had one in Battlefield Vietnam the Marines are still using it today...I own the M1A version and it's sweet...great accuracy...I can compete with high accuracy bolt actions...oh well a man can dream...a man can dream...

I think a good idea would be along with global points to get promoted, at smaller intervals, one player say JOE, can unlock various accessories, like optical sights or sliencers. for example.....

JOE plays and gets to 2000 pts, not yet a sergeant. at 2250, he unlocks an accessory. He uses the sniper kit alot so he chooses a thermal scope for it. He uses his pts to get this new scope. JOE assigns that scope to his sniper rifle as set #1, a player can have 3 custom sets in all. Where a player chooses what weapon he wants in a certain kit, thats where his various sets are. If JOE gets to 2500, not only does he become a sergeant, and an unlock, but also unlocks another accessory. So he wants to add onto the spec ops, say add a silencer to the SCAR-L. But, he now wants to add a something bigger to the SCAR, which is bought with more points. So JOE saves his points to get this. These accessories dont make the weapon in better or worse, actually it migjt make the weapon heavier.
This is just a nice way to put more variety and specialization into the kits as well as the game. Also, people should also be able to buy better sidearms. Even though the Beretta is the official sidearm, i hear more and more stories about how soldiers will buy a Sig Sauer, which SEALs use, for use. Maybe implementing a sidearms kit would be nice. There are so many ideas to make BF better. We are the ones who play the game, but not the ones who make it.

The M240's already in the game...it's the secondary weapon on the Abrams tank...I know ya can't carry it but it's still in there...but yes it would be sweet to carry one...nothing like throwing out .308 at the enemy...

An L96A1 isn't an AWP, it's better than an AWP, since the AWP is the police version and is cheaper, see below.

Accuracy International of Portsmouth England make several versions of the rifle

All rifles start AW - Arctic Warfare (Allowing sniping operations to be carried out under Arctic conditions as low as -40C

AWC PM - The L96A1 (C for combat) which is the same gun as a PSG-90(what Swedish army calls it)
AWS - Supressed (silenced)
AWF - Folding (the butt of the rifle folds)
AW SM - Super Magnum (.338 Lapua Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum and 7mm Remington)
AWP - Police model - cheaper - since for most police situations the full compliance to the strict military standards is not required.

AW SM is designated by the British Army as L115A1 by the way and is a longer range rifle (LRR) due to the heavier/larger round

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the scoped version of the M-14? Pretty sweet either way.... the two snipers in Black Hawk Down were using M-21's, if I'm not mistaken
