They're pretty impractical. You can get a better result by rolling a more standard joint that starts off wide and tapers down to the roach.Finray wrote:

yeah I've never tried to make one myself, since I'd probably fuck it up. Standard joint works juuuust fine.
It's cool as a party trick (I've never rolled one) but I've seen far more failed attempts to roll one than ones (one) that worked. Save time, roll a normal one IMO.

Filters have no real purpose, other than something to hold on to instead of having a solid roach to smoke later.

or not, cause yeah it isn't really worth it. maybe once or twice to try it but other than that no. i had a phase of rolling all different types of joints about 18 months ago, but the end result is ultimately the same... you get high.
