290*17 is 50mil
Yeah, $15 is about right.

Sorry $60 mil is 21 games - 2 1/3 seasons.  Sorry I saw $50 mil in other article.

I left out upkeep and the other sports played there as well - it ain't just going to be football.

It's when taxpayers are on the hook for this bullshit that I suddenly become a Jay-like libertarian.  If these people are so rich then they should have built it themselves.

So assuming full capacity and snacks- $290,000 per game.

$60,000,000 divided by $290,000 equals 206 games. Assuming 8 games per season means 25 seasons.

It will take 25 straight seasons at full capacity to cover its cost. God knows how much in upkeep it will take a year..

The thing is never pulling a profit.

I think they did - usually these are funded by bonds that are approved by the local election.  Payments for interest and principal usually come from increase in property tax.

Assuming 4% on the bond, and 30 years, the annual payment on it will be about $3.5M. They'd make a profit.

Most college costs come from the coaching staffs, the training staffs etc. When you're paying as much for the coach as the stadium there's probably something wrong.

And that they sell out every game and that the price they can charge for admission goes up over the years and that inflation maintains between 1-2%. There's a ton of variables in any investment, especially one this long term. It's still a complete waste of money imo, but it will more than likely pay for itself.
