Someone on Reddit condensed the 1 and a half video that was released from Texas into a short clip pointing out important parts. No commentary. Please forgive the subreddit you are being sent to. Youtube/mainstream media does an awful job of covering videos like that. They splice everything and add a bunch of unnecessary commentary.

You shouldn't dismiss the subreddits that follow this stuff. It isn't 4chan. Rules about being respectful towards the dead and not promoting violence/the killer are enforced strictly. As I said before, seeing the actual event as it took place gives you a better understanding of the situation than reading a news report. The news report above is only slightly better than a Youtube reaction video. In that sense, the subreddit ghouls are providing a service and a way around the media gatekeepers. What ever happened to doing your own research and thinking for yourself?

Oh the thing that made me come to this thread before I got sidetracked explaining to Newbie the utility of the ghouls...
The ghouls who are picking apart the entire video found insistences of the shooter taunting the police to come into the room so they can have a shootout. He does it a few times. Calls them bitches and tells them to come in the room.
Why is that important? The cops immediately knew "the door was locked" thing was total bullshit since the shooter wouldn't lock the door if he was trying to bait the cops into coming into the room to have a shootout. I am not going to link it since you aren't interested in seeing it yourself and making your own judgment. Just take my word on it.

police, particularly in america, are paid a very handsome wage and given every privilege and respect with the expectation that, when the time comes, they'll match up to standards of 'service' and 'duty'. i don't expect every average joe to be courageous enough to bring an active-shooter situation to an end. but if you're taking the salary to be an overweight SWAT pig, maybe take a long hard look at yourself first?

As I noted before, gun nuts are joining in in knocking down the police because it diverts attention away from the fact that the shooter had a military style rifle when he and no other civilian should have one.
The initial cops that he fires on before they retreat...I don't blame them for falling back. The Buffalo shooter took a bullet to his body armor and then killed the security guard that shot him. It is plausible that the two cops who would have followed the shooter into the room would be victims too. Doubly so since the shooter spent a good amount of time trying to bait the cops into coming into the room for a shootout. Sure it is their job to put their lives on the lines but dying for this fucking country? yeah okay.
