Edit: Explosions occurred in trash cans and they've got footage (apparently) of a guy just before the explosions putting a backpack in a can.

If what gs said about the Newtown families being present near the explosion, I'm suspecting one of those far-right militia types.

Bombs themselves sound like they were gas devices with no shrapnel (apart from the train cash etc).

though you know the reason this is getting good coverage is because it has a hollywood-movie feel to it, which = more viewers = more money for the news-networks. which is a media feedback-loop of your own creation. tl;dr: everybody gets the disasters they deserve.

what i don't understand is that there's a huge police and military presence at these events - as if obvious from the news-footage, and 'justified' since post-9/11 in event management pretty much, like, anywhere - but still this shit happens. you see the army guys helping to pick up body parts and broken fencing. with respect: the fuck were they doing before? perhaps this is just a futile demonstration that you can't contain chaos, maaan.
