Split screen is annoying but I don't see how it's dead. You're not going to see many first person shooters out there that keep all two-to-four players on the same xyz coordinates, looking in the same direction.

Apparently EA released a survey to various places asking about things that people would like to be in the game. Things like transferring your unlocks and rank from BF3 and a wider variety of melee weapons with their own unique animations. They also had a part about cutting power to buildings and blowing a dam to flood a lower area. Whether or not this actually makes it into the game, or specifically multiplayer, remains to be seen.

Actually those sound like they'd be REALLY bad. The more detail gets put into EA's gameplay, the shittier the overall product quality seems to get. Something like the dam might see its way onto PS4/720 (exclusive), though.

But its a shame to see China demoted to a DLC army, especially this far from the actual release date of the game. I know they have to plan and design upfront, its not exactly a 5 minute turnaround, but still.
