I feel sorry for the ignoramuses that populate Wisconsin. And to think I almost went to work there.
If there was some sort of independent panel that ruled on arbitration cases and new contracts for public sector unions I wouldn't have a problem with them, just like I couldn't care less about private sector unions, but when unions are funding the politicians that sign off on their contract demands, it becomes a problem, and is largely the cause for so many states approaching bankruptcy. There is a huge debt disparity between Right-To-Work states and union states. Walker may be a prick, but he did the only thing that will balance Wisconsin's budget on a long term basis, so good for him.
Public sector workers already make more money than their private sector counterparts, asking them to contribute more towards their pension and health plan is hardly something that should've warranted a recall election, let alone all the hoopla. It just shows how incredibly spoiled and used to getting their way the unions have become.

yes, california is a right to work state and we don't have any kind of debt. and even if there was a debt, it could be attributed to the right to work status.
