So a while back someone accidentally spilled a White Russian on our house's router, killing it. I went and bought a new one that I've found to be very reliable: the Linksys E1200. After setting it up our network has been very reliable (the old router would drop connections all the time)... but our Internet connection has been incredibly slow. Not sure why. Even when only one person is using the network it's still slow.

What can I do to fix it?

Check for any services running on the router, QoS, etc.
for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.

@GS it's password protected

@Camm uhm like what services? I don't think QoS is enabled. And wouldn't QoS not matter if there's only one user on the network?

Tried lowering the MTU, changing the wireless broadcast to 20MHz only, and some other fixes suggested online and still nothing. For what it's worth, the wired connection is fast and normal... it's only the wireless connection that sucks.

Sweet, I got it fixed. Something within these instructions fixed it, I reckon the QoS page:

http://homecommunity.cisco.com/t5/Wirel … 26#M225156

Now I can finally stream porn again!!!!!!!!!

Yes although when you said "check QoS" I thought you meant enable it.
