I hate to tell you this, but it is exceedingly late in the year to have an interview for a position that would start in early May. They've likely already made their offers at this point, and have already completed the interviews long ago.

You mean application deadlines? That's crazy. They sort application, do interviews, and mail employment packages in a week (assuming the standard response period to consider the offer, fill out the employment package, and mail it is a week)? Unless the job starts mid to late May, I just don't see how this works. And yes, I realize time can be cut doing things electronically. It still does not make this a tenable system.

@Pochsy yeah I think it starts in late May. What's more surprising is that it's with a DC government agency so I'll be surprised if they can process them that quickly.

Get a Masters with decent grades and you're set to work as a lobbyist, or in a think tank, or for the government itself. You go to a decent school, so your chances are better than most.

you remember wrong. Maybe you were thinking of each class being $1500. I think an annual parking pass was more than $1500 a year. I remember paying like $700 for a parking pass, but I can't remember if that was for a year or a quarter.

Seeing as mattyboy just graduated UCLA he can probably tell you with a little more acccuracy. I'm speaking from ~8 years ago.

i think UCI has more asians attending than UCLA. Berkeley probably has the most. When I was up there in Feb. it was probably ~85% asian, including indian
