This. Remember how long it would take to get from Essex to that middle hill in Zatar, much less the whole way to the MEC non-cap. By boat or buggy, it was a hike. What about how desolate and empty Surge felt? You could literally disappear into the mist on the east side of the map. I swear I saw Sasquatch there once!.-CARNIFEX-[LOC] wrote:

i used to love the start of the map on OCS as US, fill a blackhawk and go straight to the back MEC airfield. was risky if you got seen, and took AGES but if you got there you could really shift the balance of the game. same with zatar and flying low from the carrier along the river all the way to the farm.GeoEnvi wrote:

the alleyway in karkand felt bigger than the inf part in firestormFatherTed wrote:

firestorm in comparison feels about as big as a normal BF2 map, but 80% or more is just desert. all the action for non-jets takes place in something the size of half of maashtuur or something
as far as i've identified, the inf part of firestorm is when you bail from your tank to repair it, or you sit in a crane and miss at people all round.aerodynamic wrote:

lol I wonder what these maps will play like with 64 players.
I have doubts they will limit it to 16 players only.Jimbob23 wrote:

Yeah, you must not know anything about the market they have to deal with.nighthawk843 wrote:
Someone just re-release BF2 + expansion packs as BF3 and I'll be there. BF3 was a great idea ruined by the ineptitude of the EA corporation. It takes talent to fuck something up quite so well as they have. By talent I mean idiocy.
biggest mistake they made was to fire the "desert-combat modders" that worked for them during the development of bf2 , thats ((probably)) what made the game a true BF game and such a great one.UnkleRukus wrote:

Blame call of duty, halol, and those shitty games for messing up battlefield. Also blame EA, they suck in general.
They will never make another game like BF2, ever. They say they will, but they wont.
