The Unreal engines never seemed to care for large vistas.
An annoying problem in the game I see is the teamstacking. After your team gets stomped like 3 or 4 games in a row, your former teammates go on the opposite team. You can even tell when it happens on a new match. People just sit on the team select screen and spam the left mouse button on the Blood Eagle or Diamond Sword soldier, until 1 person breaks the chain and goes on the team that lost 3-4 times in a row. I know I shouldn't expect much from CTF pub games, but, just saying.

8/10 maybe, with potential at best to become an 8.5 or so. it needs some changes, certainly. and it is far from perfect. but with the development history so far and the massive potential competitive uptake on this... with leagues and a very strong pc-only community... it could definitely reach the top-end of fps game scores, in my opinion. but not right now, it still doesn't really feel 'finished'. it's a game that revives a certain sort of pc-only feel, no bullshit and no concessions to noobs, which is very refreshing in 2012. it brings back the speed and intensity of quake/ut/tfc, in my opinion - which in itself deserves a pretty high score and some applause. i just hope the game's continued development sees them taking advantage of the massive potential unlocked by that. i really do think that tribes' ctf mode is one of the best all-time game-modes of any pc fps. team fortress classic's whole success was basically in taking the whole tribes style class warfare into a quake-sized map.

I hope they put first person spectating in ASAP. Watching FPS games in third person or from free camera is horrible.
