UBAR says, you have to be First Sergeant to become a 2nd Lt.
Is this just a mistake or aren't you really able to become an officer when you missed First Sergeant?

First Sergeant and 2nd Lt. are not successive ranks, so I tend to "it's a mistake" but people keep asking me about it and I want to make it clear.
By the way, it's the same people that keep aking me
a) about the unlocks for First Sergeant and Sergeant Major
b) if you can't make it to Sergeant Major because you missed Master Sergeant

Hrm, good point. I am fairly certain its:

Master Sergeant OR First Sergeant
 -> 
Master Gunnery Sergeant OR Sergeant Major
 ->
2nd Lieutenant
In wich case, yes, UBAR is listing the wrong thing -- likely I just made a typo in the "rank number" requirement field

Should be: "Master Gunnery Sergeant"

well my guess is u have to meet the first sargeant requirements ie all badges knife an pistol included b 4 u can become 2nd lt
