This is in direct violation of the Fifth Amendment. Does the Constitution mean nothing now? Since when does anybody have the right to disregard the supreme Constitution?

Fifth Amendment

It's funny how barely any news outlets have something to say about this when it's obviously a huge concern since everybody is affected.

Modern democracies which are members of the UN shouldn't be creating one set of laws for their own citizens and one set for citizens of other nations, not when they've signed treaties which require otherwise (ratified or not - yawn FEOS...)

It just proves they're ugly racists.

Just the American citizens, for a start. I think the prisoners need a fair trial before being thrown behind bars forever but I don't quite see how possible that is. You'd have to get witnesses, which would be military and they can't just be flown everywhere in the middle of a deployment.

At least try the US citizens, that's what our Constitution says. If we're to be a republic, as our founding fathers made us, then we're to obey the Constitution.

We're a republic that has to follow a Constitution. It is not outdated, it has amendments that protect our basic human rights.

Many people do use the Bill of Rights as a cop out to actually arguing things, but the US Constitution IS the overriding law in the US.  It is valid to use it as a fairly definitive legal source.  No US law can override it, so any law in contradiction to the constitution would automatically be invalid in the US. 
(That said, the enforcement can be questionable at times, due to matters of convenience, interpretation, and SCOTUS member opinions...cough-Plessy v. Ferguson...)
