Two klipsh 8's with tweeters and two Fisher 8's with tweets as well. Using a JVC RX-206 audio receiver to power them @ 4channelsx100weach

Is the sound car worth it Jaekus?

mobo optical into a JVC 5.1 reciever... Technics SB-L56 for the front, Fisher STV-9325 for the rear. Some Technics center, and no sub

I also have a pair of Fisher ST9215's, just sitting.

Not a bad setup for <$60 (minus computer)

I would really just like a sound card with RCA jacks that I could connect directly into my receiver. Also the receiver must work be able to work at the same time as headphones cause I hate having to unplug and replug shit back in.

My current setup has a 3.5mm splitter to:
- gaming headset with microphone
- 3.5mm to rca cable to receiver

Both work at the same time, but if I turn the volume down up or down on the headphones it directly effects the receiver.

The receiver is connected to speakers and I also have a wireless pair of headphones (IR :shrug: but they work at least) connected with rca to 3.5mm cable that came with it.

I can use both pairs of headphones and the speakers at the same time, which I think is a great functionality and I won't spend money on a product that would require me to unplug-replug things back in.

Right now I'm using a standard dell 2.1 set.
Served me well for quite a few years, but theyre starting to break down a bit (crackles here and there).
Now, I love music and good audio equipment, but I've never been one to spend a lot of money on speakers. I have (or had) my reasons.
But right now I feel like doing some spending on music/audio-related items.
What would be a decent 2.1 set under 100 euros?

it was a genuine question you fucking dingbat. i am interested. don't be butthurt. ken said 3 days after he bought those shit speakers that he was returning them. don't make out like i was being anal.

One of my KRK RP6s is kaput. Nothing major, just a low irregular buzz most likely caused by being bumped around when moving. Luckily the warranty is still good, but it would mean having only one speaker for a max of  3 weeks

i bumped in the cones of one of mine has anyone successfully unpopped theirs? i tried using a toilet paper tube but no luck, apparently i should try sellotape?

always put active monitor speakers on their own power-supply/wall-mains. do not put them on a power-strip with lots of other electrical equipment. try and run balanced cables with them, rather than unbalanced (better sound and shielded from interference). similarly make sure the cables are not twisted/frayed/ripped, or put near any other large electronic equipment. these are common ways to eliminate static or buzzing. buzzing or humming from any sort of audio equipment normally means that a wire connection/soldering has come loose, or that, similarly, one of the wires/circuits isn't grounded properly.

if you think having active monitors is bad, you should introduce a turntable or amplifier into the equation. trying to play audio from an analogue sound-source is buzz/hum haven. you have to go to a lot of expense and effort to make sure a turntable is properly earthed.
