yeh but filling takes like no-time, and most of the time i'm filling up i need cigs or a paper or something anyway, so i would still have to go inside
so i'd end up paying some random for the privilege of touching my sexy car?

Fine, but it doesn't cost all that much

There is no surcharge. 6 cent on average and still cheaper than most states around us.

Illegal. You can't even use your cell phone near the pumps because of fears of static electricityKEN-JENNINGS wrote:

yeah diesel cars aren't real common, but they're definitely out there. Not all gas stations have diesel either.Jay wrote:

Haha it's illegal in new York to play your car radio at the gas station? Or are you thinking your engine needs to be on to listen to the radio? Because it doesn'tJay wrote:

No, I know the stereo runs with the engine off, it's illegal to cause any potential spark at the station, even though running the starter motor is about a billion times more likely to cause an explosion than the radio or a cell phone. I didn't write the law man I know better.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Funny story though. One time I was driving through southern Missouri on my way to St Louis. This is deep in the heart of the Ozarks, for you foreigners, think of every hillbilly stereotype, the kind of place that has a jar full of deer jerky on the counter at the register. I'm filling up the car, and my buddy that was riding with me looked over at the kerosene fill station and noticed that a hillbilly was using a lighter to check the fuel level of his canister... You wanna talk about potential for a spark, man we booked out of that station so fast I can't believe the tires on my car didn't start a fire
