Well, it's our honeymoon and first trip to Europe together so I'd almost rather do the touristy stuff.

We'll be there in mid-June. Plan is to do a few days in Paris, 3 days in Brittany, and then 3-4 days in Nice.

dude an hour commute either way is nothing. almost all of the decent paying graduate jobs in london will involve an hour commute each way. get real.

I know, honestly I won't mind driving for an hour if the traffic isn't too bad. It's far from my house hence the time... if it was an hour due to bumper-to-bumper traffic I'd be pissed.

$10k doesn't go far very far in the nice parts of europe. it's expensive. you don't help yourself by insisting on nice air travel. why spend a quarter of your budget on the journey? that's dumb. you could do and see a lot more of europe with that money. instead you're bothered about a 6-7 hour flight having in-seat television. you sucker!

So why is an Irishman vacationing in Brittany? I thought the weather was very similar.

Tell the wifey. She wants everything first class for this trip. I'm just gonna pass the fuck out. Flying sucks no matter where you sit on the plane.
