Someone Who Isn't Me (SWIM) is taking summer graduate education courses. SWIM wasn't expecting to have to do group projects in graduate school. SWIM was the first person to advertise for group partners in the Black Board discussion tab. SWIM is now the leader of a group of adults. SWIM did not sign up for this.

SWIM has never been a manager of adults before. Being the group leader, and in control of the group software, it's technically SWIM's job to assign jobs and oversee other people's work. SWIM is not going to boss the group around but good leadership delegates right?

My friend said she has two group projects where she needs to collaborate with the group members to put together detailed special education plans for a fictional child. She is not sure why she couldn't do it on her own. Group projects were hard enough to do in person during undergraduate. How is this supposed to work in a pandemic? Seeing the course requirements really took the wind out of her sails.

Well my friend Elizabeth doesn't like it at all and is having a bad time.
well what is elizabeth's end goal in taking these classes? What does she see herself doing with these skills? Is there a career advancement she is looking for? Perhaps her future goals would be served well by gaining experience in working within and leading groups to achieve a common goal, and as such she should embrace these challenges that take her outside her comfort zone.

Elizabeth needed to enroll in a Masters Degree program in Special Education in order to teach Special Education in the Fall. She has 6 years to finish it while working. She started her first classes today. Elizabeth knew that the Masters Classes would be a challenge but she wasn't expecting to have to make a team and work as a group on this stuff. She fucking hates it. She wanted to work alone.
One of my good friend's wife has a PhD in special education. You think Elizabeth could benefit from a conversation with her?

Hi, everyone! I am Macbeth's friend Elizabeth. Macbeth said I should come and take his place here. He said he can't be here anymore since a Jay (?) is out to dox him. Whatever that means. lol!
So I started these graduate classes and learned so much so far. I learned that people are born with disabilities and that is okay. Most disabilities aren't even a big deal and people could live perfectly happy lives. I also learned that minorities have disabilities more often than normal people. Strange the books would say that! Maybe they have bad genes or they do drugs while pregnant? I don't know. I am Jewish. lol!
Anyway I gtg. Ttyl.
