Korea #1

The way they do basically everything over there is so much more efficient than how I've seen it done anywhere else. Not just their tech but their processes too.

Anywhere in a big city in Spain to be honest. The reference I had in my head was i think from Park Guell though, so right city!
They're mostly indians and pakistanis who went to spain via north africa chasing riches in europe. Now they're walking up and down beaches 12+ hours a day lugging around cool boxes trying to sell people beer or water for 1 euro..

I genuinely take pity on those guys. Hard life. I don't know what they're all doing during the pandemic

Interesting. I had no problem whatsoever communicating in Japan. What year were you there? Granted I knew a couple dozen phrases and words and had lived with Japanese people for a little while before that, gaining an ear for their accents and also body language along with food/eating customs and vocabulary. Proper pronunciation and body gestures went a very long way towards effective communication. Most of the time I only had to greet someone in Japanese and they would respond to me in English if I needed help.

This is why Europe needs to create safe zones in Libya to deport refugees back to.

I was there in 2010. In Tokyo almost exclusively. Rarely found people who spoke English. I didn't go to a lot of touristy sites though.

This was the same trip where I got on the subway and people crowded around my little brother and stared like we were aliens. Very weird. Also a very cool city.

I was there in 2013. Also was in Tokyo but also several other places going southwards up till Hiroshima. In smaller towns and cities ppl were more approachable. Very friendly in Onomichi. I got stared at plenty on the subway, especially in Osaka.

The Australians like to put them on remote islands. The Europeans should do that. Make it a Battle Royale type thing.

You can't deport indians to libya. Also, how would you prevent those places from becoming mini colonies, or even get the legal jurisdiction to do that on foreign soil? Yeah, not realistic.

Libya is in the middle of another civil war. The people in the areas we turn to mini colonies will welcome us as liberators.

The question is, why would you want to deport them in the first place?

Nah not for business, I was in Korea last Christmas and decided to go to Osaka, only for 3 days. My girlfriend knows a few Japanese phrases but we had the same experience as you in terms of language. A stark contrast to Korea where lots of people I met spoke fluent English.

Even trying to work out how to buy a ticket on the subway was a challenge and there was an English button. We asked the guy who worked there for help and he walked over to the machine, pointed at it and walked off. Thanks guy.

The food was incredible though.

Because they are Muslim. If they get enough credits in the Catholic universities we set up in Colonial Libya and have a priest vouch for their conversion then they can apply for a visa. Then after a few years of living in Spain, they would have to be investigated by a Papal inquisition to see if have been keeping up with their conversion. If the Papal legate signs off on it then they can apply for citizen and maybe even a circumcision if they want one.

I got stared at a lot on the Seoul subway too with more than a couple of (usually old men) coming up to me and asking:

Where I'm from?
What football team I like?
Do I know the Chelsea footballer Son?
I'm handsome

Great fun. Weird that I've might have had more random conversations with people in the dozens of journeys I had on the Seoul subway than on the thousands I've had on the London tube...

Man, you got the lazy ticket machine man. I was in Shinjuku station looking helpless, hit the "english" button, and the dude literally popped out of the fucking machine and asked me where I was going and entered everything in while hanging out of the front of the machine. Did I mention the man CAME OUT OF THE MACHINE?

When I arrived in Tokyo and finally got out of the subway, looking for my hostel, I was absolutely lost. I went up to three cops and they laughed at me because I looked so disoriented, but they proceeded to help me find my way.

On the spanish beaches at least the vast majority were indians and pakistanis, unmistakeable. The trinket sellers with the blankets were african

I know. Derp. My point was: the people you assume were from South Asia might just be Hispanics that look like people from South Asia.
