Becuase one day is specifically for the soldiers killed in action.
It's my understand many Us service personnel dislike being thanked on memorial day as the day is not about current serving members.

I'm reading up on it and it's pretty fucked how they just took their shit.
So since the IRS got hacked yesterday, everything related to getting a loan is backed up and slow and apparently the dumbass banker that our home-buyers are getting a loan from forgot to submit everything until the last minute when it should've been done already. We already moved everything out into the truck, and the buyers have already done the walkthrough, so we're not allowed back in and I'm stuck living in my uncle's basement with only a single change of clothes until that loan gets approved. Needless to say the sellers of our new house are also furious about waiting on our money from our buyer's loan and are likely now inbetween houses themselves and it sounds like they might be seeking additional compensation for the trouble. Best case scenario is everything happens on Friday. Worst case scenario is next week
How long until the settlement?

Hopefully the sellers aren't dicks and frustrate the contract and keeping the deposit.
