They found a WWII bomb here in Graz, in the construction site of the main railroad station.
They couldn't defuse it and had to blast.
It blew out all glass windows in a 1km radius and the detonation could be heard even further.
Happens regularly with big air-dropped bombs in Austria and Germany.
Other countries have a huge problem with anti-personnel land mines and cluster bombs (all the ex-warzones on the Balkan, Africa and Indochina), which are much worse to detect and defuse.
Rats have an excellent sense of smell and are light enough not to trigger the mines.
