Not only did I just spend 5 minutes using a toaster that wasn't plugged in, I've got a hole in my sock.
Knowing the guy above lied about it only taking 5 minutes, but not being able to prove it.
NZ. Our government/film industry is so corrupt that a week out from the Hobbit premiere, Mt Doom is actually erupting
Got a notice that I have to take a driver improvement course because of those two stop sign tickets I got while I had a provisional license. I already paid all the money I had just to pay off those tickets, now I have to waste my time and probably go into more debt with my parents to take classes for it.
Glad I've been upgraded to a full license now, so I won't have to go through this shit ever again

Put it on for 2.5mins each time, tried twice before i realised it wasn't plugged in..west-phoenix-az wrote:

I've done the same thing with the oven. I'm usually too busy to wait until the preheat timer is up, so I throw things in and then hit the buttons (the quality of my cooking is another matter). I'm not sure why I didn't notice that the beeping hadn't happened to tell me it was ready, but it was 45min before I realized I hadn't actually set the oven this time.PrivateVendetta wrote:

Went to the Villagio Mall after dinner downtown (Nando's peri-peri chicken). As we were walking in, we got invited to a "training event" at a new restaurant in the mall called Shake Shack. Were told if we filled out surveys, we would get free food/milkshakes/etc.
Was already stuffed from dinner.
Went in anyway.

People wait in line for like an hour and a half to eat lunch at the Shake Shack in Manhattan. Same for the one at Citi Field. I think it's overrated personally.

I was curious as to why you provided so many links. How long have you been in Qatar?FEOS wrote:

And I've been here ~5.5 months. Going home mid-December.

Computer chair broke at the welds between where the center column meets the bottom of the chair. I think I was leaning back in that chair too much.
That one was an $80 chair but most office chairs are apparently really expensive, ~$200 or more
It was this one:

weld that shit j-nubs
I don't have a welder and I don't know how to weld at all, maybe one of my uncles can do it though. I kind of just want to get a new better one but it would be almost guaranteed to come out of my Christmas money. Either way I'll probably need to get it welded in the interim and if it's solid enough, maybe I can just use it normally again. I think I might've bent other things too though because the part doesn't seem to fit back in the hole all the way even when I force it, all of the affected parts seem to be made of fairly solid steel too. I guess 230 lbs is too much for some chairs, lol
how tall are you?

5'9 and 1/2, but my weight is distributed across my wide frame very well rather than having one big blob above my waist(which is a size 38). I'm built pretty thick, I think my perfect weight would probably be like 195 and people keep telling me I'd be huge if I worked out. I was 210 in high school and 220 when I was going to college but some shit after that got me really depressed and I kind of stagnated too so I put on another 10 lbs.
hell, i gain and lose 10 on a good weekend, mostly water weight from the beer i drink . . .
i got a haircut and i can't stop rubbing my head. /fwp
