like i said, only advantage i reaped was going to a public school and having (some!) financial help in uni. a lot of it which i pissed away on drugs in a very cliche undergraduate life crisis (which was more about having a girl fuck me around than any grandiose rich-kid-feeling-sorry-for-himself stuff, as is well documented on bf2s). i don't think that's excessively pampered. i don't have a safety net. my parents wouldn't pay for a master's degree even if i asked them (but i didn't). they paid for private school + some of university. how is that different from any other middle-class family? when all is said and done beneath the taunts and mock-little-lord-fauntleroy persona (which is just me playing up to a bad stereotype, ironically, self-aware), i'm hardly sitting on a golden throne. i have nice things, but so what? i'm still doing my own part to get by and climb the ladder in life, i'm not passively sitting back and expecting it.justice wrote:
