How was it compared IJ? I know it's unfinished and all but iirc he was trying to make PK top IJ. Did it have the potential you think had it been finished?

prose is fantastic but it's tough to handle when you get 750 pages into a book and then it abruptly ends with no logic or conclusion at all. the last few chapters are also incredibly dense and there's no resolution or way-out offered because, of course, DFW himself decided to check out at that point. but if you enjoy his prose and way of expression and his unique way of thinking, then you can enjoy it episodically.

Damn it! Why does this Europe in the Age of Empires course conflict with every fucking other thing? I'd like to take that so much. It looks to be all sorts of "British Grenadiers" and "Rule, Britannia" kinds of fun.
History classes are awesome. As long as it's not WW2 or American history. Those are bores.
the instrument rating is the next big step in pilot licenses. Basically goes private pilot --> instrument pilot --> commercial pilot --> flight instructor --> airline transport pilot. Theres a bunch more in between but those are the big ones, at least as I see it.Pochsy wrote:

The checkride is the final exam/flight with an FAA examiner to determine if you meet the requirements and get the license
