The edict, the Daily Telegraph reports, follows a three-year investigation. European Union officials now conclude there is no evidence to prove the previously undisputed fact.
Producers of bottled water face a two-year jail sentence if they break the law, a move that prompted one British lawmaker to say, “This is stupidity writ large.”
“The euro is burning, the EU is falling apart and yet here they are: highly-paid, highly-pensioned officials worrying about the obvious qualities of water and trying to deny us the right to say what is patently true,” Roger Helmer said.

If you don't already know that water can prevent dehydration, you have no business buying a bottle of water.
lol at you thinking the EU's law has anything to do with the UK or british people. hello, dipshit, the whole reason this is being written about in the UK press with such disparaging remarks is because the UK vehemently abhors anything that the EU lawmakers pass onto us. we are virulently anti-EU when it comes to law. the entire english legal profession sees the EU's power as being ultra vires and imfringing on the credibility and sovereignity of the UK justice system. the only EU legislation we respect and uphold with enthusiasm is its record on human-rights (which was pretty much the sole reason the EU court was invented, to promote a standard level of human rights).Jay wrote:

don't quote some newspaper article and try to turn it into some fucking dumb "lol UK" thing when you clearly haven't read it, let alone understood it. the whole point of the article (from a shitty paper, no less) is to stir up yet more anti-european sentiment in the culturally conservative members of british society. the end tagline about the euro burning and the union falling apart is really the point of this article: "look! at these silly euros and their dumb laws, this is the insanity that has gotten us into this trouble! vote 'no' on the eu membership referendum! vote conservative!"
galt stop being such a retard, basically. in this post you are being the worst stereotype of the worst kind of d&st poster, who uses some pithy article to support his bigoted views. you're no better than dilbert's hurr-durr anti-america tripe when you quote articles like this and make it a "lol uk" thing. the uk laughs back at you, fella.
at least we have more than one pig, and a healthy stock of farmyard animals.

$35 bucks for a shitty nerdy shirt. who honestly buys this stuff? i've played computer games since i was 12-13 and have never, ever felt "you know what, these game designers are so great at making computer games, they surely must be great at fashion design, too!". why would you want to identify yourself so heavily with the fact that you play computer games? for me it's one facet of my life - a form of entertainment. you'd think some people identify their whole personalities with gaming, as if it's some tribe or cult. no i do not want a t-shirt with an emblem for a computer game weapon class on my chest. no i will not pay you a ridiculously high amount of money for a cheap, poor quality screen-printed tshirt that costs you 5 dollars to make. no. no. no. the whole concept of merchandise is probably one of the most tacky parts of modern culture. everything needs a fucking baseball cap and a wallet made for it, doesn't it? as if someone's going to see some pimpled fucking loser wearing a battlefield 3 tshirt is going to think "that must be a quality gaming experience, i shall go home forthwith and buy 2 copies".
