I've discovered an excellent way to control the amount of computer usage (like if you're playing too much Skyrim). The answer is simple: have a pipe burst and flood your floor while you're away! You can then return to find your computer won't boot. Fun times!

At least I had my backpack with me (so I didn't lose all my papers and such for school) and nothing major was on the floor besides my tower (though there was no water in the case, there is a fan very near to ground level), and I will probably end up filing an insurance claim on it, but it's very inconvenient and annoying nonetheless.
