I had figured it might be a sign of its slow death. No point in buying a new HD for a 4 year old laptop, really. If it fails I'll take the hint and buy a whole new laptop.

I usually play Terran, in 1v1, where I'm ranked Gold. I've been trying out Protoss in random 2v2s (so I don't lose my rating in 1v1) and it's working out well, I'm considering switching.
