does anybody have a reliable way to get into the same squad as their friends? i've tried everything...
also, flashlights are op. forsrs.

They need to make it so flashlights either automatically turn off outdoors or have no effect.
Or scope glint indoors.
Getting a weird bug where my character spins round on the spot I have to shut down game & browser to fix, very odd & FUCKING ANNOYING.
Quote of the year so far "Fifa 11 on the other hand... shiny things for mongos "-mtb0minime
they need to make it so flashlights don't exist.
The guy who thought up the idea for flashlights must be the same guy who put crits in TF2.
The only way I have found is if their squad has one less player than yours and you leave yours and then find a squad, it's a bit hit and miss like.Bevo wrote:

Squad management will be in the retail version though.

A similar approach works rather well on the 360 TBH. I'm not referring to BF3 in particular. But take most FPS games. Like when your xbox live party goes on the same team when playing CoD games.AussieReaper wrote:

Form squads in battlelog, and keep the same squads, game after game, server to server, I'd assume. I assume people on the same platoon will stay on the same side.
Good luck doing the same thing on BF2 if your clan decides to play on another server.
Edit: nevermind per 2 posts down.

They had this in BC2 at first and it led to heavy teamstacking and unbalanced numbers, which, after a continuous outcry of the community, made them deactivate it.Ilocano wrote:

I highly doubt they gonna do it in Bf3.
So after getting sick of being shot behind cover numerous times, I switched to the UMP and started randomly shooting every spotted person I could, regardless of line of sight, and was amazed at how many times I was able to register hits through multiple walls/surfaces. Really pretty sad.
On the plus side it was fun killing a bunch of people after that point.

I don't think you've even played TF2.DefCon-17 wrote:

I was dissapointed at the lack of handguns frankly. I got my hopes up on that video they did getting gun sounds and he used a deagle and I thought (siq m8 deagle).
Customizing handguns would've been a better feature than having 4 types of the same gun. With the deagle you could put a long barrel, unlock more powerful cartridges and shit like that.

Yeah, I don't understand why they didn't do it that way, I mean how do they expect to be competitive with even MW1 if they don't do thatThe A W S M F O X wrote:

But seriously, the customize screen is already set up for it, just add the accessories button under the pistol just like it is on the primary weapon and there you have it. Something like that would REALLY be a no-brainer. I actually love the stock pistols already(only other one I've tried is the G17C), if I could customize them, that's all I would need
Played metro (rush mode), feels like Call of Duty (guess that's the mode to cater MW2 fanbois) with bigger (badder) map.
Too much foliage, rocks and cover, and it feels too big for that kind of play style, there's no way you can check them for possible threats.
It truly is a mindless rush, hoping to not get shot in the face by the guy hiding 5 meters away in a bush while you run towards the objective.
But yeah, conquest is gonna be it I hope (else I'm gonna return to beheading people in TF2)

I would've liked to have seen, along with the pistol customisation, scope add ons for the rocket launchers. Nobody does an RPG with a PGO scope anymore
That being said, the suppressed pistols kick ass, and the F2000 w/ IRNV? Epic.

Suppressed anything are epic wins. Love getting Wipe Out Squad ribbons.
Indeed. I pinned about three squads in the excavated tunnel with my pistol, took a fair few of them out as well before a grenade landed on the other side of the rock I was using for cover, and somehow killed me.
It says on the Battlefield 3 wiki that in the full game, there actually will be a scope unlock for the RPG. That's cool as shit, wonder if there will be one for any of the other rocket launchers or other non-primary weapons. Hell, maybe pistol customization really is in the worksM.O.A.B wrote:

Doubtful. You already have pistol unlock progression, like tactical and suppressed variations._j5689_ wrote:
