the point is to read, and let your imagination paint the pictures, if your mind is capable of it. put down your goddamn television remote and turn off your fucking PC.

Looks pretty interesting though I fear it's going to get many remarks as being lame/unoriginal. I know it's not but Burroughs pretty much set the stage for this sort of thing and his ideas have been copied in many, many storylines since. People are largely familiar with them (his ideas) already.

$300 mil seems like a huuuuuuge gamble for something that looks like it's either love it or hate it (see: Cowboys and Aliens).

These mishmash of genre style books/films always make me wish that the Dark Tower series would be done in film(s) before Steven King bites the dust.

Seen it now.

Movie starts out bad.. really bad. As soon as we get to Mars it picks up and gets good though. I liked it and it's worth another watch tbh, I can agree with the 7.1 it got on the imdb, that's about right.

Quite enjoyable movie.
