Once again, you keep talking like you have this vast wealth of knowledge on firearms. You can't just call the AK series inaccurate because there's so damn many variants. Plus you're forgetting that accuracy is also determined by the skill of the shooter. Jesus christ shifty, stop reading the bible and start reading some actual books. Or get out into life and take some courses.-Sh1fty- wrote:
Demize confirmed the M16A3 and M16A4 will be in the game. I wonder what the difference between the two will be, and which will be the starting weapon.
I'm hoping that the M16A4 is the starting weapon. I really enjoy how faction-specific weapons shape the game. One the one hand, you'll have the USMC with accurate M16A4s that are better suited in longer range combat, and the Russians with medium range inaccurate AKs.
It won't be that way though most likely.
I wonder what the difference between the A3 and A4 will be besides being full auto vs burst. Maybe the A3 is less accurate or does less damage? How would you guys have differentiated the two, or would you have even implemented an A3 if it were up to you?
is that point or area?Trotskygrad wrote:
AK-74's effective range is listed as 625
M16A4's effective range is listed at 550

lol, I remember that. Would blow up an F-15 in one mag or less.Doctor Strangelove wrote:
Yeah, I actually played with it when MOAB was filming that movie thing. Everyone else in the filming quickly realized it was the most OP thing ever.rdx-fx wrote:
The code and models for the M82 were in BF2. Was actually pretty easy to make a mini-mod to enable it
Aren't peeps better for poor visibility/night than open?Dilbert_X wrote:
Since most combat is now at ranges much closer than 300m, 300m performance barely matters.
The AK was designed to be effective, not necessarily super-accurate, because it really doesn't matter.
Open iron sights are much quicker to use than peep sights, and if its going to be shot in bursts from the hip its not too critical.
If you learn to use them they aren't necessarily that bad. With the right set up I can hit a rifle target at 300 yards with a 6 inch revolver and standard open iron sights.

i highly doubt it.UnkleRukus wrote:

Motion mines are way too OP. So I will be quite happy if they aren't in the game.aerodynamic wrote:

The same way i doubt they will ever put the garand and kar98 in the game....
That's better than the current motion sensor system. It's a load of tripe.Doctor Strangelove wrote:
There will be something similar, but it cannot be throw, you can only carry one at a time, enemies can disable it, and it will not detect enemies unless they are running or sprinting.

Russians fixed their accuracy issues.-Sh1fty- wrote:
I never said I was a know-it-all. The AK-74M in game is just not built for accuracy like an M16A4 is.
Shitfy have you ever even touched a Kalashnikov?-Sh1fty- wrote:
Sights still only let you be so accurate up to a certain distance. M16 peep-hole sights are built for accuracy, while, all of this just being my opinion of course, the AK's "battle sights" are not. I just don't believe you can line up sights to make as accurate shots with open sights as you can with the tiny peep-hole on M16s.
I'm not saying the gun itself isn't accurate anymore, but I'm saying the user can only do so much without better aiming equipment.
lol irons everyone uses optics now. shut the fuck up shifty.-Sh1fty- wrote:
